Just some last notes on our home…

  • Our home has keyless entry for your convenience. We send you check-in instructions, the address and a code for the door keypad the day before your stay.
  • We are happy to welcome your well-behaved pets and have provided bowls, waste bags, and a suitable blanket for them.  Guests bringing pets will have an additional cleaning fee so that we can accommodate even the furry members of your family, we just need to allow our cleaners time to do the extra cleaning that pets bring and keep our next guests comfortable.
  • Children of all ages are welcome. We have not child-proofed our home, but we do have a portable playpen with blankets, infant towels, a booster seat with tray for meals, and children’s books and toys.
  • Our wifi is quite good. Login instructions will be available to you on check-in
  • The driveway comfortably fits 3 vehicles (one will be blocked in by the other 2).
  • Our home is used by our family when guests aren’t booked in, so please know that it’s a well-loved space. The neighbourhood and village are very family oriented with a focus on nature and local resources. Please conduct your stay respectfully for our neighbours and fellow residents.
  • Did you forget a warm hat for your whale tour out on the water? We’ve got you covered. We have a bin of toques in the welcome room that you may borrow from.
  • As nature lovers, we enjoy having our bird feeders. If the feeders happen to be empty and you would like to try and attract backyard birds, there is a baggie of seed in the laundry room cabinet.
  • The house is within close proximity to everything in the village. Parking by the water is quite a challenge to find, therefore we highly recommend walking to your attractions whenever possible.
  • The house does have stairs to the entry way as well as up to the second floor. Should mobility be a challenge for a member of your party, we recommend reaching out to us with accessibility questions before booking.
  • We are only a couple of kilometres from the ferry. Ferry Schedule HERE

About the Region and Village

Tadoussac is a village of 900 year-round permanent residents. During the height of summer tourist season, it can explode to 15,000 a day, filling all the hotels and short-term rentals. There are no “chain” restaurants or hotels, every business is locally owned and unique to the region.

The primary language in Tadoussac is French, however we have had very good interactions with stores and wait staff when we ask if they speak English.

Even in summer it doesn’t always get really hot. It’s not uncommon for crisp breezes to come in off the St. Lawrence River, which stays at about 4 degrees Celsius year-round.
